The St. Vincent de Paul Food Locker is open Tu-Th 9:15-11:15. We serve anyone in need of food or clothing and clients are able to get assistance once a month. It is run by volunteers who stock the food locker, bag the groceries and distribute the bags to our clients in the SVdP building.
Each family receives a bag of groceries designed to provide three meals a day for three days based on the number of people in the family. In 2019 we provided food to 2100 familes, or 6200 individuals.
The food we provide is purchased from local grocery stores and from the Yuba-Sutter Food Bank. We also recieve donations from the St. Isidore Catholic School and St. Isidore Parish Can-A-Week programs. Donations may be dropped of at the SVdP building during our office hours, or put in the Food Locker box in the vestibule of the church. Please do not place perishables in the box in the vestibule. Perishable items may be donated at our office during our hours of operation.
