Youth Ministry Meeting Room

The purpose of the Youth Ministry is to help the young people of St. Isidore's grow spiritually and emotionally by providing:

friendship and guidance to youths

a place for the youth to gather

someone to listen to them

an opportunity for the youths to be themselves and act spontaneously according to the situation.

Our Youth Ministry aspires to make the parish fully aware of the youth program; to train and empower our young people for leadership so that the ministry and youth programs will continue to flourish; and to educate parents on how to be in touch with youth. Through positive modeling and example with the involvement of the youth of our parish, all gain in a reaffirmation of our faith and learn the values inherent in the care and concern for others.

St. Maria Goretti is the patroness of youth. She was only 12 when she was murdered in 1902, rather than submitting to the loss of her virtue. Before she died she forgave the man who murdered her. Maria was canonized in 1950; her murderer, who had repented and converted, was there at St. Peter's to celebrate her canonization. Her feast day is July 6.
